To be fair, the “UK satellite” mentioned in the title is funded by the Research programme . As Twitter allows now for more “space”, we can also mention the other partners of the consortium with entities from 🇩🇪🇫🇷🇳🇱🇨🇭🇿🇦.

The satellite has successfully deployed a net to capture a planned 'debris' target in orbit. This is not sci-fi. We repeat, not sci-fi. Congrats and ! This truly shows the tech-demo possibilities for satellite deployment from .

The Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) built satellite successfully fired and captured test debris with a net. This isn't easy in microgravity. Excellent work by Airbus and the SSTL team.
