    It means getting a jury to acquit after the DA brings in 10 cops to testify against your client. And you call no witnesses. Because a and public defender knows how to destroy those cops on cross, & pick a jury that will know those cops are lying.

    Like the clients I represented, public defenders are often written off by the oppressive systems they are fighting against. Being told by the incumbent DA that I wasn’t a “real lawyer” only further reminded me why I am in this race. We deserve better. I am better.

    It means continuing to stand up for your client in court even when the judge tells you hes’ “going to rip your skin off.”
