    He wrote plays. He wrote musicals. He wrote for film and tv. He wrote operas. He had 25 works on Broadway. He survived lung cancer, lived with COPD, and passed from Covid-19. I’m sad about his passing and grateful for the work he left behind. ❤️🕯

    So saddened by the passing of Terrence McNally. He is the brilliant author behind my favorite musical, Ragtime - a powerful, beautifully crafted condemnation of how hard white society has made it for PoC to succeed in the US - so horribly relevant today.
