  5. Today marks the 3rd anniversary of a horrific attack in a Mosque in Ste.Foy, Quebec. I wrote this and although many wounds have healed, there are still scars. There will always be.

    3 years ago, 6 of my brothers were killed for being Muslim. Today, rather than focusing on the profound hate of that terrible day, I send love to all of the victims and their families. We will always remember and make duaa for you and us all 🤲🏼

    I’d humbly suggest my friend the be added to that list. Perhaps more importantly than the  campaign. (The only time in Canadian history a mass shooting happened at a house of worship.) It’s very sad chose to do it on the same day.

  9. Three years ago, six people were killed and nineteen others were seriously injured in a terrorist attack at the Centre culturel islamique de Québec in Ste-Foy. Today let us pause to remember the victims, hold them in our hearts, and honour their memory.

  15. Re: Mental health and Islamophobia: today marks the day when I sat my kids down and tell my eldest 16 (at the time) to duck but cover the bodies of his younger brothers if a shooter ever got into a Mosque. Mental Health is for Muslims, too.
