Any lovers of local markets? I have always been fascinated about their ability to bring people and biodiversity together- an important factor in combating plant blindness

The next step of my
#plantblindness series! Scroll to see time lapse video. Started with 2 layers of gesso before applying color. Painting on plants is very emotionally difficult for me. It just feels wrong. But… https://www.instagram.com/p/B78rfKgpl8J/?igshid=1pibasqi2d6w1 … -
So am I! Hoping this can challenge

It's 3rd day out of 2 week long

Not printed, published online, & not a formal publication, this piece for
@guardian took#PlantBlindness out of the science literature and into mainstream. It's gone on to have a huge impact & led to many other articles highlighting the issue@janeperronehttps://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/gardening-blog/2015/sep/17/we-need-a-cure-for-plant-blindness … -
I see your point! But I also see that the title should be perhaps “Animal single cell biology”

#Wales... Oh look they are all animals! Where is Cotoneaster cambricus? Sorbus arvonensis? Hieracium snowdoniense? Sorbus leyana? Liparis loeselii? Etc....#PlantBlindness@BBCEnvironmenthttps://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/uk-wales-51109146?__twitter_impression=true … -
Flowers are really difficult to display in museums, and so are often completely left out. But these beautiful botanical models are a brilliant way of ensuring they are included.

The most common constraint to teaching and research that I hear about from friends and colleagues across biological disciplines is overwhelmingly from plant biologists seeking support from their institutions for basic, dependable space to grow plants.
