How often is it that you can see... -the tree at PPG Place -the Holiday Market at Market Square -the Horne's tree -the Clemente Bridge ...all in one frame? Unless you're in a helicopter over #Pittsburgh, like I was for this shot a few years ago, not very often. Such a cool view

Something a little different today. Normally when I'm in a helicopter over #Pittsburgh I'm focused on the city, but for this view I turned my camera straight down for a view of a Norfolk Southern train riding over snowy tracks. Talk about right place, right time.

Exactly 2 years ago this morning I captured one of my favorite holiday images of #Pittsburgh. The crescent moon rose right behind PPG Place and the Christmas tree at the Point was reflecting in the river, with holiday colors accenting the view. Made for a pretty incredible scene.

What a sneaky little sunrise in #Pittsburgh this morning. It looked completely overcast all morning, and I actually almost gave up on sunrise, got in me car and was getting ready to head home. Glad I turned around, because the sun pillar and vibrant color were incredible.

It's been a lot of fun capturing the holidays decorations around #Pittsburgh, but the one thing that's been missing is the snow. I know that it isn't for everyone, but there are few things that I enjoy more than walking around when it's snowing at Christmastime.

I've shared views of the holidays in #Pittsburgh from the street, and ones from the rooftop. How about one from the air? This one is from a helicopter flight I took over the city when the tree at the Point was still lit and now I miss that it's not there even more. What a view.

I didn't just shoot star trails over #Pittsburgh the night of the Geminid Meteor Shower; I also took advantage of being out while the moon was rising. Even though it wasn't full, it made for a pretty incredible scene rising above Children's Hospital decked out in holiday colors.

At first glance this might not seem like the most interesting image. But what you're looking at is the inside of one of the 82' spires atop PPG Place in #Pittsburgh, something I've captured thousands of times from the outside. It was pretty surreal standing inside one of these.

Two years ago was a really fun stretch of days capturing the moon in #Pittsburgh. I was running around like crazy on this particular morning & was able to line up the crescent moon right behind the star atop the tree in Point State Park, almost like the moon was part of the tree.

What a sunrise this morning in #Pittsburgh. I thought that maybe clouds from the rain in the forecast would make sunrise a bust today, but it was just the opposite. The sky lit up with vibrant color from the North Shore, and the Mr. Rogers' Memorial framed the scene perfectly.

I realized that I never shared any images of the Light Up Night fireworks above the Horne's Tree in #Pittsburgh. I tried to take a different approach and a more unconventional angle. Even though the top of the fireworks got cut off, it made for a fun perspective.
