    7 years ago, became the 1st human-made object to land on any comet. 1000s of hrs of studying simulated comet-like environs helped as Rosetta monitored comet 67P from close quarters for ~2 years. One such study is mentioned here.

    7 years ago today... back in 2014 I was working at the , who played a role in designing systems on the lander which set down on the comet. A thrilling day watching that little lander set down - amazing to have been connected to it in some tiny way.

    After achieving touchdown on a comet for the 1st time in history, scientists & engineers began analysing this new world 👉

    🪨🛰️ - Il y a 7 ans, 🇪🇺 se séparait de la sonde et effectuait le premier atterrissage sur une comète, 67P "Tchouri" ! L'atterrisseur a survécu 7 mois sur la surface de cette dernière.

    en 2014, la mission entrait dans l'histoire en posant un atterrisseur à la surface d'une comète. Après 7 heures d'attente pendant la descente de jusqu'à la surface de , le signal confirmant l'atterrissage est arrivé à 17h03 CET.
