Johnson starts by saying foodbanks are doing a good job. As ever he completely missed the point. If he did his job we wouldn’t need foodbanks.

The same old Tory party - putting their rich mates and donors before working people.

  4. Sep 8

It is quite simple. The will always put their rich mates ahead of working people.

“Arms around the whole of the British people”? When will the PM stop spouting this tosh? His ending of £20 uplift to UC will plunge hundreds of thousands into poverty

In what world is this fair? 3 in 4 social care workers earn less than the living wage. Boris Johnson is not putting an extra penny in their pockets but is increasing their taxes to protect the wealth and income of super-rich landlords.

Boris Johnson just said "we believe in higher wages". That's a lie. He isn't giving social care workers higher wages but he is giving them higher taxes.

  10. Johnson waffling at but now appears clear many will still face huge bills under his plans for care and many will still have to sell their homes to pay for care. What an utter charlatan he is

Keir Starmer asks PM whether he stands by his guarantee that people won't have to sell their home to pay for social care. Boris Johnson doesn't say.

  18. Sep 8

The Conservatives have broken their promises. They are hitting low earners with this tax hike, but landlords won’t pay a penny more on their properties. Eleven years of Conservative unfairness continues. And it won’t even fix social care.

  19. Sep 8

‘His plan is to impose unfair taxes on working people. My plan is to ensure those with broadest shoulders pay their fair share.’ is right. Delivery drivers and care workers who got us through the pandemic deserve a plan to fix social care, not just a tax rise

209 deaths yesterday and Tories can't even wear a mask.

Keir Starmer accuses PM of breaking his pledge that nobody should have to sell their home to pay for their care. “Where does the Prime Minister think they’re going to get that £86,000 without selling their home?”
