7. Oct 2020: 2nd hotfire test of the #P120C solid rocket motor, which is at the same time the first stage of#VegaC and one of the 4#Ariane6 boosters. With a 132 s burn-time the P120 chews through 1 tonne of propellant every second.@esa_stspic.twitter.com/pgK13X3MmyNäytä tämä ketju -
#Avio has 5 sites in Italy, France and French Guiana, and employs around 850 highly-qualified people, about 30% of whom work in research and development. The first qualification model of the#P120C, was static fired on the test stand at Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana. pic.twitter.com/1FywzLlr8L

How to transport and handle an
#Ariane6 solid rocket motor? Tests at@EuropeSpacePort let us validate these industrial tools on an inert mock-up before doing it on the real booster. We call this motor the#P120C and it will also be used as the first stage of#VegaC@vega_stspic.twitter.com/5YFdMNcfg9
