    My favourite tawny frogmouth is back in the tree next to my bedroom, lulling me to sleep with its soft, deep & continuous "oom, oom, oom." Notice its weak feet that don't have curved talons - different to owls. Love their scruffy, wide-mouthed face.

    Little Penguin at Peterborough yesterday...washed up, tired & disorientated, with dogs on the beach it clearly need help... hats off to ... arrived within 20 minutes & took it to a wildlife carer in Warrnambool. Great job

    Yes!!! Finally got a photo of one of the most elusive birds in Australia! Noisy Scrubbird. Loads of good wildlife over the last few days, inc Numbat, Honey Possum, plenty of SW Aussie endemic birds.
