    In 2016, ’s historic journey to a near-Earth asteroid began as it lifted off on a ULA . Nearly 5 years later, we wish the spacecraft a safe journey home as it departs returning the 1st asteroid sample.

  13. Our spacecraft successfully completed its last flyover of asteroid Bennu early this morning. The mission added this maneuver to document surface changes resulting from sample collection on Oct. 20, 2020.

    NEW: Researchers using data from our mission have gained more insight into asteroid Bennu’s trajectory through the year 2300. The findings could help us refine the orbits of other asteroids, and reduce uncertainties:
