If MongoDB wants to continue to work with ICE, that is their decision. But one of their core values is “Own What You Do.” So if they’re going to take dirty money, they should own it. 5/5

Can a feature request be not helping ICE? Because they put kids in cages, and I'm getting very 'IBM during the Nazi regime' vibes from GitHub right now.

This is such a great feature. Can we make it so that people who separate families into cages don't benefit from it? It baffles me that you can literally just decide not to enable them, but you do. I hope you drop ICE.

"Support and participate in protests and programs." This seems like the best one. Although why not just protest ICE itself directly instead of protesting around the tech, which is of course just a means to an end?

Relatedly, I'd like to know why a Palantir employee is on the team.

  19. 29. sij

If I was conspiracy-minded I'd say that it was probably funded by like Palantir to harm and discredit the / campaigns but truth is more likely it's just self-aggrandizement and a shot at a payday

In theory this movement sounds cool and good but blaming open source authors who write code that's used by anyone for anything is the wrong move....
