    California's Democratic delegation to the House of Representatives should, in unison, REJECT Paygo. It is absolute madness to hamstring our own nation with bogus austerity while so much needs to be done.

    Paygo is the exact opposite of the energy that won Dems the mid-terms: weak, unimaginative and short-sighted. We need bold leadership to actually reverse inequality in America: Medicare for all, free higher education and pre-k, renewable energy.

    When the US has an emergency or for example has to go to war - do they wait for taxes to be raised to go to war, to send planes/troops/weapons? "Let's wait till we have tax money" No, that doesn't happen. They literally spend money into existence via the Fed.
