What Uber and Lyft don't want you to know about California's Prop 22. (For more info, read my thread: )

  3. No matter where you work, everyone should have the right to join a union + sick pay, family leave, and protection from discrimination. RT if you support gig workers having decent labour rights — not just in Massachusetts — but around the world!

Email from Uber to drivers this morning re: Prop 22. I cannot control my rage that the concept of "minimum wage" has been eroded to the point that we should be grateful for "guaranteed minimum earnings."

Been tweeting about for months. My final pitch: Don't let some of the wealthiest corporations in the world buy their own law that strips workers of basic protections those workers desperately need. At its core, that's really all this is about. Just vote

There's a lot fucked with the Prop 22 push, but imagine a company tying your performance evaluation directly to your promotion of a particular political initiative. Thank you for this worker solidarity, Eddy. ✊🏽

  15. If you’re voting today & on the fence with Prop 22, please take a couple minutes to listen to Daniel Russell, a rideshare driver, about why you should vote . Uber & Lyft are running a disinformation campaign claiming drivers support Prop 22. They don’t.

  16. I, along with , am once again asking you to vote ✊🏽🗳

If you need a ride to the polls this year, Lyft and the NAACP have you covered. Use code NAACPVOTE2020, then remember to vote to protect workers and ensure your tax dollars don’t bail out billion-dollar corporations that ignore the law.

Let's be honest: giant corporations didn't put Prop 22 on the ballot because they care about their workers. They put it on the ballot so they can pay their workers less for more work. Let's tell Uber and Lyft they can't write our labor laws. Vote

Hey California! If you’re voting today, remember to stand up for workers and vote . Tech companies have spent millions trying to force this through and avoid treating workers like human beings. Don’t let the bastards win
