  12. For years, the belief was that once there were more women in medicine, disparities in leadership would naturally adjust to reflect that. This has not happened and is here to fix this.

    This is my mom. She immigrated without knowing the language, isolated from her family. She raised 2 kids & later worked her way through a masters & PhD, and here she is working in her lab on a Saturday.

  16. 100% agree with - we need strong female researchers and educators who are mentored, coached, and sponsored so they can make impactful contributions to science and academia.
