    threw away his vote by voting for Speaker. I campaigned for him last year but you can bet anything I will be campaigning for his opponent in the primary. Absolute shame and many in agree. Step up and repreeent the people who elected you.

    Now the in 2020 will be a battle but whoever wins will have to contend with redistricting. It is almost a certainty that if the Dems hold the Senate in Albany the district will become more Democratic with additions in Sunset Park and Bensonhurst in the district.

    Yes, it could be a really crowded GOP primary. The Staten Island GOP has lost its mojo, it seems. I imagine the party bosses will try to anoint someone. I think Donovan's career is over.

    Sounds like Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis is going the full Trump again! Funny, she didn't really talk like this when she ran for NYC mayor in 2017. Sounds like she's planning to run for in 2020. Makes sense.

    I don't think enough political analysts realize how much Michael Grimm exposed Dan Donovan as a bad congressman. He never did anything, but Grimm was a flawed candidate so Donovan won but the primary did more damage than people realized.
