    29 years have passed since we lived the First Nintendo World Championships. and 4 since this competition returned and 2 years since its last edition. I'm looking forward to the next year this competition will turn 30 years old.

    The was the only competition that hosted in the 21 years between and the . It is the 5th major tournament (of 7) that Nintendo has ever put on, and with qualifier events being open for 1000+ hours, it is most likely the largest to date!
