    Significant contrast in air masses between NWT and Baffin Island today, as morning lows broke records in the west and Iqaluit recorded its highest temperature in more than 10 years! Norman Wells was only 0.1°C away from the July record!

    Blizzard warnings now in effect. Winter weather system that is moving through Kivalliq - Hudson Bay - Nunavik - Baffin Island will bring gusting winds to 80 km/h, fresh snowfall and wind chills as cold as -70C. Storm will move through this afternoon to Sunday.
