    As an consultant, I must highlight the incompetence of the PM and his Government in managing the . First, he played down its severity, then he advocated a disastrous “herd immunity” approach. He didn’t follow the science and has been reactive instead of proactive.

  8. I love working for the NHS 💙🏥 But year on year of cuts have carved the NHS to its bone. Short staffing is all too common. Staff leaving is all too common. Stand with us, not against us and let's save the best healthcare service in the world! 💪🏼💙✊🏼

    We had today interviewing patients hospitalised with covid-19, including Revathi, cared for in our ITU, who met her twins, born when she was critically unwell, for the first time today. Staff talking candidly. This is real.

    I met the hospital chaplaincy team today. It’s harder for the NHS now than in March; less energy, more staff off sick & less of the powerful public support they had back then. Please pray for them & for all NHS staff, & take every opportunity to show how grateful we all are

    Anyway - after 8 weeks, a triple heart bypass and an infection my dad is finally out of hospital and back home. Bloody well done xxxx

    WARNING: There is a text scam going round asking people to book a vaccination appointment & then taking them to a fake form that asks for bank details to prove identity. The NHS does NOT ask for your bank details. Please let any vulnerable people know.

    Chemo number 20 today!? Surprisingly, there were no balloons and I didn’t get a certificate but the nurses were their usual, amazing selves.
