. has won twice in presidential years with little over 51% of the vote. This map (my first of these, yay) shows county margin shifts when comparing 04 and 16 -- taking into account Burr's statewide victory margin was 1.11% greater in 2016.

Random, but I was looking over some historical races. It must have been so frustrating for the Dems trying to beat Jesse Helms. He won five races, but was never above 55%. This year may be different, but reminded me of how Scott Walker always won with 52-53%.

2020 starts today. We have real problems that need real solutions. Time to purge this administration and give Democrats a governing majority. We have an opportunity to turn North Carolina blue. Oppose Thom Tillis

You're right Bill. Your former party has been pulling conservatives' legs for too long. If you want to show them who is boss, you should run for as an independent and challenge Thom Tillis. He's one of the worst con artists in the GOP. What do you say, ?

  13. 5 Oct 2018

I've said this before though that Tillis is not someone to be underestimated though. The race of 2014 was tight but everyone thought Hagan would pull it off. Tillis eked it out and still beat her. He's a conservative but also extremely savvy.

Anyone with a pulse can make at least competitive. The right nominee and Tillis is done. That seat is also cursed by Jesse Helms’ ghost to only elect one term senators.
