    One of the joys of (besides amazing papers and collegiality) was getting to thank -- face-to-face -- folks whose work was important for helping me figure out the argument of an article I have coming out this year. Getting to be publicly grateful is kind of awesome.

    After checking in w/MOC about laughing about that moment when “the look” was discussed in today’s plenary. We have come to realize the vast majority of the audience did not get that or shifted uncomfortably & so we just enacted a scene out of Get Out (medieval style).
