    should be an annual event highlighting the culture of DC. Get the community involved and spotlight local artists. Keep the ATVs and Dirt Bikes. Get vendors out to sell DC staple foods and just have a great time celebrating DC.

    I cant tell you how beautiful it was to see such a peaceful group of people who love their culture. But what’s even more powerful is the systematic, coordination of . We had de-escalation teams to prevent violence, clean up crews with trash bags. A lot of DC love.

    I love how D.C. stood up to gentrifiers who want to move into black & brown spaces, then complain about the culture. If you don’t wanna hear Go-go, Frankie Beverly, or Merengue blasting when we clean our houses, stay your ass in the suburbs or move to Idaho

    Shout out to the estimated 3,000 people who shut down 14th & U Street to peacefully rock out with Backyard Band in demonstration that D.C. was not all death & despair before it became super gentrified. There are people & culture that have been uprooted.
