    what an experience to be able to sit on a panel with some of the brave students of Stoneman Douglas talking abt how gun violence not only affected their school, but the way it affects Jackson. we had some amazing discussion & im so thankful for the opportunity.

    Every year, 1,297 children in America die from gun-related injuries. This makes guns the third-leading cause of death for Americans younger than 18 years old, surpassed only by illnesses and accidents (like car crashes or drowning).

    It really pisses me off that the leadership in FL is so useless that KIDS feel compelled to speak out for their own safety bc the ADULTS elected by their Floridian neighbors to represent them refuse to. 👎🏼😤

    Inspired, meeting and listening to the survivors of gun violence, from both, Parkland and BX. Gun violence is an issue that is prevalent in so many of our communities & orgs like are part of the solution. It's time for our youth to lead!

    The two police officers killed in Canada had a total of seven children. That's seven children who are going to their parent's funeral. That's seven children who will never see Mom or Dad again, because of what else, but GUN VIOLENCE.
