    I’m bummed that the national media didn’t pick up , which had a much more conventional candidate run as an (I). State legislator, raised a few hundred thousand, had a viable if narrow path victory. But he didn’t have enough to raise his name ID. Needed media.

    is certainly going to be fascinating to watch considering that RCV gives the GOP a shot at the seat through Grohman if their voters are willing to use it.

  7. This response is pretty amusing. Voting was up substantially more in (up 27,976) compared to (up 1,097), using SOS ...doesn't that moot the disenfranchisement by confusion argument, and perhaps open the barn door to lackluster media campaigns?

    The voters of voted against RCV twice. It was imposed on them by a majority of voters from But thats besides the point 52% of voters in 1 election shouldnt be able to throw out 1 man 1 vote & implement a new voting system that gives some people more votes than others

    Interesting article from on RCV & . Pingree's obviously safe this year, but RCV at least opens the possibility of a strong indpt in future--though the 1990s version of the district probably was more open to such an outcome.

    , where Independent has run a strong campaign in a 3-way race under ranked choice voting. Marty’s message is urgently needed. His victory will show the country that electoral reform makes a difference. And he will be a great citizen-legislator.
