    Portland Public Schools says they are not lifting the outdoor mask mandate for students "for a while." The state moved that power back to school districts last week after lifting the outdoor mask mandate for large events/gatherings. Here's what other districts told us

    HAPPENING NOW: it appears city crews have begun cleaning a huge homeless camp under I-205 along Marine Drive. There were 30-40 vehicles here at one point, now just trash and mud. Looks as if construction crews are doing work here as well

    The abandoned house fire will be allowed to burn along SE 87th in Portland. A smoke plume will be visible but the fire is isolated to the one house. also making efforts to save the trees on the property.

    I reached out to the Oregon Department of Education about 'test-to-stay.' Namely, about whether a district could still do the at-school quarantine program if they lift the outdoor mask mandate. They're adding clarification - but PPS said they haven't heard anything yet
