    You can be a or you can support . You can't be both. You either believe personal liberty should be paramount, or State Power. The two ideas are rabid weasels that you throw in a sack - only one is coming out.

    essentially places State Power above our individual personal civil liberty interests. The primacy of the latter is one of the core tenets of most beliefs. The two aren't compatible. /fin

    My personal platform: eat what you want, put whatever you want in your hair. Be from California or don't. Just please don't advocate for socialism, absurd wage controls, cronyist/protectionist policies, violating religious liberty, or expanding the carceral state.
