Keith Lamont Scott’s death changed my life and perspective of the US when I was in middle school. I still remember waking up to protests and people flipping cars.

This #FathersDay, remembering the 7 children of Keith Lamont Scott. Scott was fatally shot and killed by Charlotte police in 2016. Scott's wife watched and recorded the incident on tape.  To date, no officer has been held accountable for Scott's death.

Justin Carr’s family stops and kneels at the Omni Hotel, where he was shot and killed four years ago today during the Keith Lamont Scott protests. That’s his son upfront with his fist up. He never met his father, having been born a month after he died. 📸- ✊🏾

I've been questioned by multiple people to "prove" that I cared about #BlackLivesMatter before it was "trending". WHY do I need to do this? Fine, I was in Charlotte, NC for a project the day after Keith Lamont Scott was killed in 2016. I peacefully protested. U happy now? Damn

Where was this energy when @Kaepernick7 was peacefully sending s strong message to the league and the nation, yet they used their systematic power to kick him out of the league. A QB that was good enough to take his team to the finals. NFL are part of the problem

The presidency is a big job. Nobody will get everything right. I won’t either. But I promise you this: I won’t traffic in fear and division or fan the flames of hate. I will seek to heal the racial wounds that have long plagued this country — not use them for political gain.
