    It took a lot of hard work to get here today!! Love celebrating these victories along side and the coalition!

    We did it. After years of grassroots tenants organizing across California, today, Governor signed the largest expansion of tenant protections in recent US history into law. When we fight, we win, and this is just the beginning!

    If you want this to pass, please let and know. They r the crucial votes to get this out of committee. We r recommending it as part of a package of bills called

    NEWS: Assemblyman plans to amend his anti-rent gouging bill to limit annual rent hikes across the state to 5% plus inflation. This CA rent cap would be stricter than Oregon’s recently passed measure of 7% plus inflation. The bill’s first hearing is next Thursday.

    Too many renters in our state are hanging on by a thread, one rent increase or unjust eviction away from falling into homelessness. We must find ways to keep people housed and increase production of affordable housing
