    We remember who spent 3 yrs on Rikers Island w/o being convicted of a crime, and w/o trial, for allegedly stealing a backpack. His family couldn't afford bail and he spent two of those 3 yrs in solitary confinement. He took his own life not long after his release.

    Jose is right. Mankind is an inherently creative species. We need a system which gives every human being the right to improve their own living standards through productive roles in society. A space program is the best place to start!

    was just a kid when the put him in Riker's with adults. Watch the documentary "Time" on Netflix, they brutalized and continually beat the shit out of this kid for years. Over a backpack that he didn't even steal.
