53 years ago, on 20th July 1969, the human race first landed on the moon. 50 years ago, on 11th December 1972 marked the last time the human race landed on the moon.
Hopefully by the year 2072, 50 years from now, humanity would have made its first landing on the red planet - Mars

"Men reached the moon in July 1969, and Woodstock began three weeks later. With the benefit of hindsight, we can see that this was when the hippies took over the country, and when the true cultural war over Progress was lost."

"Oxford has said it will “decolonise” computing degree courses because of alleged slavery links to machine learning." New technologies should "support indigenous knowledge systems" and “should present a multicultural and decolonised view”.

"At the time, there wasn’t the slightest clue HOW this could be possible."
This is not true. Von Braun knew what it would take to get men to the moon and convinced Kennedy we could achieve it. I was part of the team of thousands that got the job done in July 1969.

After their rally in Kogi in which only 2000 people turned up, Peter & Dati the Daft have cancelled rallies & "gone back to the drawing board". It has finally dawned on them that politics is a game for the big boys & not one for the deluded, the ignorant & the inconsequential.

Hi Patrick, good likeness of Kieth. I have one of his drum sticks & a Who sweat shirt given to me by Kieth at gig on Sun 20th July 1969 @ Hastings pier in the UK. Between his drumming & the gigantic Marshall amps stack it was quite somthing. "Long live rock! Be it dead or alive"

"The official opening of Rochdale’s Spaced Out Library in July 1969 was timed to coincide with a festival Merril organized to celebrate Neil Armstrong’s first step on the moon." I think it was the last time Asimov travelled anywhere. Those were the days, my friend.
