    Archival releases are just as important as new albums. 's Lost Album () surfaced this year and it's amazing. I am not a jazz guy, but holy hell if you like music and can't get lost in this out of sheer joy, I don't know what to yell you.

    Top 50 album collections for 2018 are popping up. Only one has the lost album (in the 40s) oddly. For me it was all Soccer Mommy, Tomberlin, Father John Misty, Wild Pink (best album) & yes Mr Coltrane...

    I'm not a jazz fan, but I love John Coltrane (every period), Albert Ayler, certain albums of Miles Davis, and I follow their players, like McCoy Tyner or Eric Dolphy... Does this qualify me as a jazz fan? Scary.
