Some unsolicited advice for those covering
#Florence from someone who went through this last year with#Irma. Use that radar to drill down and tell people precisely when that eyewall gets to their neighborhood & when to get into their safe place. It will save lives. pic.twitter.com/F0uEn3IXgl -
This was from our
#Irma scare last year but it still goes. If you have good after now there is nothing stopping you from storing some at home right now without buying any bottled water. https://www.facebook.com/wxbradWCNC/posts/2252564714815972 … -

Watching
#HurricaneFlorence coverage on the Weather Channel right now hoping eveyone I know in the Carolinas are ok and realizing why everyone was so worried about us during#Irma last year. Hurricanes are NO JOKE! This shit is scary. -
So true. I volunteered for the Red Cross after
#Irma So many people left without there pets. We had lost our sweet Harrison 3 months before and I wanted to help. That’s when I found out that even though we have a few pet friendly shelters they separate you from your pet. -
Tracking Hurricane
#Florence ? Keep a radio in your Disaster Kit. Why, you have cell phone right? Until cellular services goes out, happen to me during Hurricane#Irma. No power, no WiFi , no cellular data. Radio was my only source for news and updates.@BroadlyServing -
Anyone else remember what you were doing this time last year?

Hurricane
#Irma showcased Puerto Rican solidarity. Even while facing destruction at home,#PuertoRico rose up and assisted our Caribbean brothers and sisters in need. When faced by adversity, coming together will always be the answer.pic.twitter.com/MmzqSQNVst -
This was the terrifying scene one year ago this morning... a three-day forecast (not out in model fantasy land) from the National Weather Service showing
#Irma passing directly over#Miami as a Category 4 hurricane. We got immeasurably lucky here.@NWS@NWSMiami@NHC_Atlanticpic.twitter.com/a14ikYuWYV

St. Paul’s Anglican Church in St. Croix was built in 1812. It suffered some damage during
#Irma but faired better than others. pic.twitter.com/RA1qrPEGMC

A year ago today Hurricane
#Irma became the strongest storm ever recorded east of the Caribbean Sea and the fifth strongest storm by wind speed in the Atlantic with maximum sustained winds of 180mph. It struck Barbuda that evening and began its five day long path of destruction. pic.twitter.com/RjCjjpwWyr -
I’m feeling a little guilty for the good weather we had today here in Florida. Memories of
#irma aren’t that distant. Prayers for all in#florencehurricane path. Stay safe!pic.twitter.com/vziAgax8t3
