So much uncertainty about features like ECN, FastOpen, UDP/QUIC (blocking) because of bad middleboxs that we need fallback mechanisms either at app or kernel. So here is a draft "idea" from an unofficial cabal - Sad Eyeballs: Try all the combinations until one works.

Me and
@pheellix had some fun with DNS-over-QUIC at the#IETF104#IETFHackathon this weekend. We wrote a little proxy from QUIC to UDP (https://github.com/ns1/doq-proxy ) and also have an initial support of the protocol in Flamethrower (https://github.com/DNS-OARC/flamethrower/tree/dns-over-quic …). It was a blast.

In one of the useful tutorials given by the IETF Edu Team. This one on xml2rfc and markdown. One question I have been asked and have started to ask myself: do the IETF document format and the necessary tools for creating an internet-draft constitute a barrier to entry?

IETFer digging through candy at the RFC Editor desk: “Oh, wait, this one has nuts. I’m trying to avoid nuts.” Me: “Then what are you doing at an IETF meeting?” ;-)

worth your time: 50 min of Christian Huitema's dulcet tones talking about congestion control tech, history, and incentives. Not really about clickbait quic headline, but relevant. perfect
