    I had no idea I had cancer until a doctor told me I was stage IV and had been living with a chronic leukemia for years unawares. I'm thankful I was not turned away from treatment, and no one with a pre-existing "condition" ever should be.

    Hey - so the ovarian cancer I got at age 45 was because I didn't take care of myself??? I thought it was bad luck or genetics. Thanks for clarifying.

    More than 130 million Americans have pre-existing conditions, myself included. I refuse to allow this. I refuse to be denied medical care simply because of how I was born. I refuse to be charged insanely high prices because of how I was born.
