    As mentioned earlier today, another dangerous is in the cards for later this week. Excessive Heat Watch has been issued for inland portions of SW Washington & NW Oregon from Wednesday through Saturday. Here are the latest details, along with some tips.

    Heat wave coming this week.  It will be dangerously hot.  Perhaps not as hot as late June, but this heatwave is expected to last longer.  How to prepare?  Contact local county officials on cooling center hours.  Avoid strenuous activities in the afternoon and evening hours.  Wear a life jacket while recreating on or in area rivers and lakes.  Highs are expected to peak in the 95-105 degree range for inland valleys, with only modest relief expected during the overnight hours.

    It is the middle of Summer but the expansive nature of excessive across the U.S. is staggering. Excessive heat warnings are in effect for many major metro areas, from Portland and Seattle to Kansas City and St. Louis to New York City and Philadelphia.
