In case you're not paying attention, Republicans in the house have voted to gut the Americans With Disabilities Act. It's like they wake up every morning asking themselves, "What Would a Complete Asshole Do?"

Exactly. We should be expanding the ADA, not gutting it.

  15. 18 Feb 2018

A good thread with an example of why the ADA needs stronger enforcement, not less. Contact your senators about ! And if your rep voted for it in the House (like mine), let them know how angry and disappointed you are. Midterms are coming.

I remember being naive af couple of years ago and wondering: “Where did come from?! Who would hate on the ADA??” And now I know... it came from everywhere ♿️

  20. Now imagine how much worse, more hostile, the world will be if every target of discrimination had to ask each business, in writing, one at a time, to please not break the law. And they have 90 days to ignore them. And another 180 after that. Every restaurant. Every store.
