Missed the
#selfassessment tax return deadline?#HMRC say those with genuine excuses will be treated leniently, focussing on those who persistently fail to complete their tax returns & deliberate tax evaders. We can get your overdue return filed quickly: http://www.brighttax.co.uk -
You forgot the following: Do you pay < the absolute MAX amt of tax you could ever pay? A rhetorical question for
#HMRC - we all do in their eyes so back inside we go with max tax, no benefits. -
Can
@HMRCgovuk inspectors enter your premises when making an unannounced visit? No, they do not have the powers to enter forcibly and have no right to enter a property if refused.#BRAccountants#TaxHelp#HMRC pic.twitter.com/iEMgdUDzkM

#HMRC website went down during the#VAT deadline day in January, due to their#API failing. We therefore recommend you file your return this month as early as possible and don't leave it to 7th February if you can help it, in case of a repeat of this.pic.twitter.com/aHz8cGxISO

Oh wait.
#HMRC will come back & say this was an “untrained” junior who should not have sent this blah blah. More like@sajidjavid@Jesse_Norman are the untrained ones to handle their position! How can they ask anyone to sell their home to pay an “unproven debt” & threaten them!!! -
Thks for yr on-going support. Still so many outstanding concerns, 80% of people will still have to pay
#LoanCharge &#HMRC still threatening to implement other measures to collect underlying tax which they say is due - going back 20 yrs. People still living with crippling anxiety -

80%+people will still have to pay the Loan Charge &
#HMRC are still threatening to pursue people for "the underlying tax due" from 20 years's ago.The nightmare continues & lives continue to be destroyed due to#HMRC negligence and government greed#STOPtheLoanCharge &#SaveLives -
Another aspect of the
#LoanChargeScandal that the#MorseReview failed to understand or deal with is that#HMRC are treating the loans as income & loans at the same time, including demanding inheritance tax as well as income tax. This remains a confusion & a clear injustice. -
One of the witnesses today settled with
#HMRC )following a letter that arrived just before Christmas) for sums/years that would no longer be subject to the#LoanCharge & was forced to sell her home, yet she will NOT be refunded. The#MorseReview fails to deal with this injustice. -
An astonishing example of
#HMRC incompetence & bullying, an ex member of the#armedforces received a letter the day the#MorseReview was published, 20th December, threatening him with bankruptcy if he didn’t pay up by...18th December.
