T3 I don't think it's healthy to be "on" all the time. The pressure to be connected doesn't = mindfulness in our off-line lives. Disconnecting can be very freeing.

Everyone, thank you! Tonight's
#hcldr has been very, very real and from the heart. Thanks for taking a chance, being yourselves, and sharing so much. Love to all!#hcldr pic.twitter.com/VF1DUoJvov

Tip T1 - We all know when someone if fake-authentic. Come on. We KNOW. We choose to ignore it for many reasons, sometimes to be kind. But for those thinking we don't know? Ha. It's as obvious as a three-dollar bill. Oh, have you seen my new app? ;)

My reputation was totally ruined when I coughed on the plane and people thought I would infect them with something. Everyone looked at me funny.

T4 I’d love to see the concept of “interests” as a social media signal increase to include a full body of interests and suggestions as to who might align and/or who might bring something new to the table. That would be a very comprehensive algorithm to figure that out.

Unless, like
@pfanderson mentioned, it is an acknowledgment vs a popularity contest. Some rich grey area here :)#hcldr -
T3. I’ve been keeping my phone on “do not disturb” almost constantly while getting work done. Also, there’s a lot of research about the connection between social media and depression or distorted self-views.
#hcldr -
T3 Boundaries for our time are so critical. I think it’s definitely okay to let others do some of the vetting for which voices are worth listening to and connecting with. We don’t have to discover them all on our own.
#hcldr -
T3- Using "Do Not Disturb" on my phone every night at the same time helps a lot. Also, I don't put on notifications for emails, Twitter or FB so my phone isn't beeping all of the time.

Yes 100% -- deep listening, observation and reflection are essential and they cannot be accomplished at internet speeds

T3: I find balance by being intentional about connecting meaningfully. This can be as simple as making eye contact with the person across from me or engaging with the people around me.

T3 I had to learn that just because an advocate is not in my wheelhouse or make a good connection that they can still do good deeds for others. I say, you be you, I will be me. I give all a chance until they give me a reason to end that season with them.

True. I think we have to be comfortable in our own skin. I've never fit in, but I did learn that I was born to stand out. These are the A-B-Cs of me; deal with it.

#hcldr T2 As a patient/PWD: It gives much, much more control, comfort, and community to patients. We can find others dealing with similar things, find out the questions to ask, and have the resources to be more active partners and advocates in our care should we so choose.Prikaži ovu nit -
T2 I think the hyper-connected nature exacerbates the halo and horn effect that can happen or shape perceptions when sharing.
