    The Grenfell Tower tragedy sadly highlighted many shortcomings in the industry. Regulation isn't enough. A revolution & cultural shift in the industry is needed to ensure buildings are safe and to avoid delays.

    In 2017 I went to paint for those affected by the tragedy for my colleagues and friends at FerArts under the Westway tunnel. I turned up to paint live for two days as donations were being dropped off and collected by those who needed it the most... .

    Apparently, it is and so this seemed appropriate from me. Although, if I may, a nod to my Firefighter son, Soho Red Watch. Veteran of and currently seconded as volunteer to London Ambulance during Pandemic.

    This kind of engaged & personal management, even if possibly patronising, might have prevented the fire from happening. As would respect for community organising.

    Leaseholders have been seen as liable for fire safety costs and cladding fees, as a bill set to protect them has failed. campaigners continue to fight for the right outcome from these trials. More information coming soon.

    It terrifies me when I hear people on the news saying "What does it matter where the money came from for Boris' flat". If it turns out it came from the firms responsible for cladding high-rise flats does that concentrate the mind?

    One of those donors were responsible for the cladding and since the deadly fire gave a £200,000 donation!
