It’s such a simple demonstration, but it is by far one of my favorites! I don’t get fired up about memorizing formulas, but I do LOVE when we can truly see where they come from.

If there are any teachers out there... I'm thinking of teaching one interior angle of a regular polygon by using the Exterior Angle & then supp angles - and not even showing the ginormous formula 180(n-2)/n... thoughts?

OK, I did kind of walk right into that one, didn’t I? But for real, any day my students can make me smile on a quiz is a good day.

Triangle inequality theorem exploration in geometry today using spaghetti noodles. What segment lengths will form a triangle? Why? What rule describes what is happening? ❤️ giving Ss the chance to explore and discover.

Okay, so its longer than I like Desmos ABs to be, but here's where I'm at so far. Give me some love friends

I'm always looking for better ways to teach SSS, SAS. This year I am going back to the past. I revamped an activity I did with Sketchpad & an overhead. Ss will enter their findings from into a google form. Try it out!

"Wait. Can we come up with our *own* theorems and prove them?" It's early, but it's going be hard to top for best student question of the month.

Almost done with geometry two column proofs. Try some 2-3 step proofs here () and please share feedback. I need to input manually about 150 additional 4+ step proofs (level 2 & 3). If you have some to share, please email info@deltamath.com.

Did you know? Hidden inside every square is a 3-4-5 (right) triangle! 😯 How can we formally prove THIS true? 🤔(Source: ).

A much belated post overviewing the Adv. Geometry course I taught, with a GIANT list of all the skills I taught & the order in which I taught them. Bonus: You can view a presentation I gave with a colleague on how we created the course

WHAT?? Geometer's Sketchpad is being RETIRED? I am stunned and disappointed. I know Desmos has added Geometry tools, but it's not there yet. This was a major wonderful tool for my students.
