#GamerGate

I've read two different people complain about #GamerGate about to talk about the IGN thing now, and the boogeyman mentality is alive and well, just in case you are wondering. :^)

Lately I've started to feel that every time I see a computer or video game developer adds positive endorsement text from places like Kotaku, IGN, Polygon, etc. to e.g. their game's Steam page, it's a black mark against the game & reason to avoid buying and playing it. #GamerGate

I've also been seeing a metric shitton of Blue Checkmarks complaining about #GamerGate in the search results, and, so far, the boogeyman has been successfully revived and staying. :^)

After going through roughly 2 years of practically silence and dismissal from anti-#GamerGate, it is now apparently trendy to complain about GG on Twitter and lump it with incels and ComicsGate and so on. It is [current year], and SJWs still want to play the victim.

Due to overlap of Sarah Jeong and #GamerGate because the media and journalists, I'll apparently tweet a bit more about her until I'm satisfied.

“Geek culture” is interesting in that the more popular it gets, the more some try to police it. While the media, like a tired parent, only listens to the screaming/tantrums of the “enforcer”. At least they can’t change Anime subs. #gamergate #comicsgate #animegate

Another note: I wanted to see where all this trendy stuff came from today (there's a lot more antis talking today, and it is rather weird), and apparently The Federalist decided to use the dreaded code-word popularized by #GamerGate and reinstated by ComicsGate: SJW.

Too many people are complaining about said article from the Federalist and how how "#GamerGate-like" it is. It's like somebody got the brilliant idea to use the same logic from people using Harry Potter and use that idea to comparing everything to GG/ComicsGate. *headdesk*

You realize that's like a very small percent of people who take it that far, right? All any of us that were pro #GamerGate wanted was better journalism in gaming. Not articles and videos about why a game doesn't have a female protagonist.

Use sensitivity when dealing with juveniles, victims of sex crimes, and sources who are inexperienced or unable to give consent. #gamergate

This was definitely one of the more humorous things to come out of the Sarah Jeong stuff. Oh, and she has been around since the beginning of #GamerGate, since her earliest was August 28, 2014. It's safe to say she hates GG a lot now. The ride never ends, I guess. :^)

ComicsGate may not have had the intention of bringing back #GamerGate, but apparently everybody who was against ComicsGate sure did bring back GG. :^)

I got King K. Rool and Dark Samus in Smash today, FeMC in Persona Q2 the other day, crazy ethics happenings from IGN yesterday, and all SJWs have been complaining about said past several days are #GamerGate. Remark: It is [current year], and GG won. :^)

So many people in these "popular" "movements" like #gamergate or #forceouthate say they're not alt-right, racist, Nazi trolls, they just have legit beefs. That may be true, but FYI, if alt-right, racist, Nazi trolls are on your side ... then you're really not much better.

Sometimes I'm really proud of the gaming community for how far it's come since #GamerGate, and then I see people calling for writers to be fired bc they don't like the evolution of a character.
