What a blow to equity in the #GC, to hiring people across the country, allowing people with disabilities and people of colour to work safely and freely from their homes with less discrimination. What a blow to all of us trying to keep ourselves and our sick family members safe.

Once again we are reminded of just how disconnected the #GC decision makers are from the reality many employees face. A culture of belonging doesn’t happen in workplaces that are racist, exclusionary and designed for ableism 1/

I want to have like group conversations and long conversations and group phone calls with like everyone like I just want us to hang out like that sounds so much fun like a little girls group but like it doesn’t have to just be girls you know what I mean? sounds so beautiful! #gc

I’ve never met anyone who is liked by everyone who is happy. People pleasing in the workplace is a sure fire way to experience burnout. Self-sacrifice is not a compulsory ingredient to a happy and productive career. #gc #boundaries

If we’re truly trying to create a #GC reflective of those we serve, if the goal is to create real equity, if we hope to achieve fairness … perhaps lumping 335,000 federal public servants under one single approach is not the answer. /3

The most basic of all human needs is the need to understand and be understood. It is a universal need to feel heard and seen and an important priority for me as a manager. Creating this for my team supports their growth, understanding and belonging in our org. #management #gc
