    Yes for some Muslim woman (especially in the west) this might be a choice they make (and that's their right), but for most, placing woman in sacks is a choice of the men, and is done to keep them oppressed, silent and powerless

    No one pressured women to take it off, you duplicitous liar. We are supporting women who choose to take it off and are faced with attacks from ppl like you, their families, their societies

    The idea of “free from hijab” is misleading. It’s like me saying I’m “free from piano.” The hijab can be a beautiful thing to some women, even if it’s not for everyone. But creating a society that pressures women to take it off is as bad as the society that forces it.

    Thank you. Girls and women forced to wear this tool of purity culture are fighting in Iran, Algeria, Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan etc...yet in the West their continued oppression is celebrated as a victory.
