    January is Fire Fighter Cancer Awareness Month. We continue to be at a higher risk for many cancers due to our exposures on the job. Learning and improving our exposure control, cleaning after calls will hopefully reduce firefighters dying of cancer.

    Fire isn’t the only job risk we face. January is FireFighter Cancer Awareness month. Firefighters are 68% more likely to get cancer than the general population. This is why it is so important we train, educate & wear our personal protective equipment

    [UPDATE] Fire is contained. Resources not on scene have been canceled. The homeowner was transported to the hospital with minor burns. will remain on scene another hour for mop up. assisting.
