Fees must fall. Raise the awareness. Voicing the youth of South Africa.
University Management closed the doors of the lecture halls so that students inside won’t hear. This is done so that business can continue as usual, while registration fees increase by a margin of 50%. #UPRegFees #FeesMustFall

Let's reconvene at 6:00 tomorrow. We will not be intimidated, nor silenced. We are clear in our demand. The Students are the biggest stakeholders in UP, not sources of income waiting to be exploited. #UPRegFees #UPCampusShutdown #FeesMustFall

will increase fees by 50%. Reasoning=inflation. But inflation rate=only 6.4%. During 3yrs of COVID students charged=100% of the fees=but received 50% of services. Student reps/voting seats at these decision making tables=0. It's a disgrace to #FeesMustFall demands. 1/5

The SASCO(ANC proxy)-led SRC alongside the EFFSC will use today's mass meeting to politicise the registration fee issue without providing a substantial and sustainable solution - as they did in 2016. They'll also use this as an opportunity to subtly advertise their candidates :)

Yet brother man can use his powers to galvanize the army and police which threatens any decenting voice with violence... Violence which we have seen dished out in #Marikana and against #FeesMustFall in black institutions but never on the yt South Africans who "owns" this country

[WATCH] "If any ordinary citizen would have committed the same crime as committed by #Ramaphosa, we do note think that after 70 days Sars, the reserve bank, FIC, and all of these other institutions would have kept quiet," says ATM president Vuyolwethu Zungula. #Newzroom405.
