I just want to repeat for all you Floridians out there that the National Weather Service has issued a Warning for Falling Iguanas tonight. (I'm not even making this up.) Maybe it's the cold, or maybe the iguanas are just sick about Trump, too.

  6. When they say it’s cold in Florida, no literally, it’s cold asf... in Miami 😭😭😩 and I just left Atl where it was 33 degrees

  7. If you see this, DO NOT PANIC! Iguanas are actually cold blooded animals so when temperatures fall overnight into the 30s & 40s in Florida, they can become immobile & fall out of trees. The may move very slow, but they are not dead!

This is how you help the cold fallen iguanas. Iguanas are cool, I don’t care how invasive they are. Your grandmas are invasive too and yet???

Greeted on this crazy-cold day with fallen iguanas. (I relocated them to the front so they didn’t become dog treats).

It’s “falling iguana” cold!: forecasters in issue rare warning temps dropping below 9C can immobilise cold-blooded , causing them to fall out of trees. They’re not dead, their bodies just shut down & recover as soon as it warms up.

What better way to discuss warm-blooded vs. cold-blooded species in science class than to reference the falling iguanas in FL?!
