    Analogy for why it might be hard for folks to come out to their families: I lived with my dad in 2008. I was a registered Republican because I was afraid of his anger if I told him I was a Democrat. (1)

    Hey I emailed a pastor from my church about not singing Bethel because of Changed Movement and he said he couldn’t find the connection between the two other than there being one person in common between the organizations. Any help?

    Trying to decide whether to attend an old church tomorrow for Easter service where I felt unseen and burdened for years—both by particular folks and by the way the church itself functions. It’s stressful and sad.

    I can’t even use this hashtag on my personal account out of fear of rejection and shunning from family and some friends. Shit sucks. So please be warm and welcoming on this Easter Sunday to all of our LGBT siblings out there 🏳️‍🌈

    Addiction & alcoholism didn't cause my sexuality, but they were sure as hell a result of internalized shame, fear and deep seated belief that I was disgusting to God. I'm just one of many who found lasting recovery after becoming honest w/myself, God & others.

    When I’m feeling anxious about coming out to new people, specifically a new congregation, (because i’ll literally be coming out for the rest of my life) God provides. The force of gal pals is REAL. The Holy Spirit moves. Affirmation is so sacred.

    Isn’t Changed literally an offshoot of Bethel’s ministry? As in, the same church that distributed these worship songs distributed this ministry arm meaning they didn’t intend for the to be included in its messages? Is that not reason enough?
