    Getting flowers from a patient in clinic just because is such a good feeling. Grateful for my job and the ability to build meaningful relationships with patients!

    I loveeee seeing people’s *surprised* faces— or when they ask me if I’m sure 🤣 Yes girl, the personal statement is done, the aways are in place, and the LORs have been asked for.

    In first year, a classmate loudly proclaimed in the elevator, “Well I didn’t come here just to end up in Family Medicine.” And that’s that on what choosing FM was like But we’re vocal & mighty, so cheers to the up and coming - I see y’all 🥺❤️

    is family medicine for those who don't know! I loved all of my rotations, but this one was where I felt such an instantaneous click and sense of purpose. It's the one for me!

    Had a patient who needed tertiary transfer today. Everyone said no. I reached out to my old residency program, a whole county and 2-3 h drive away, and they said “Yes, absolutely.”

    FM one of a few specialities (gen surg, EM) where whatever walks through the door, you're ready. You're a complete doctor and that makes you valuable. You can thrive in any setting. Your income is what you make it. Same for lifestyle. You chose well! Be proud!
