    No one should lose their job just for taking care of a loved one. It’s time for paid family leave for ALL families.

    25 years ago the Family Medical Leave Act was an important first step. While New York and a handful of other states have passed Paid Leave, we are the exception, not the rule. It's time for a nationwide change.

    American workers shouldn’t have to choose between a paycheck and their families. While CA was the 1st state to create a paid family leave program, we must take the lead once again & expand protections.

  18. FMLA was an important step forward for our working families, but it doesn’t apply to 40 percent of the workforce. And it doesn’t guarantee any pay during the time that the worker is away.
