    I agree. It will further infringe their rights to privacy. Remember, it's not girl's choice to undergo FGM. They never gave consent. They are innocent and therefore need protection

    I appreciate the fact that all Faith/Religious leaders (who have high influence) agreed & committed to since 9.3 million girls are suffering in silent because of fgm! Thanks 4 this great article.

    Today, we carried out community outreach at Bilisa Village. Forgotten place &people! Health facility 7km away. School, 5km 🚶 🚶 walk, No ECD/ nursery classes, What next? FGM, child Marriage, poverty, and high illiteracy level.

    What worries me is the fact that children from this village walk 5km to access school, women in labour pain are taken with motorbike to deliver at the nearest health facility which is Garsen, 7km! Girls undergo FGM at 7yrs of age.

    Graduate & campaigner hosted 3 radio phone-ins with survivors, pastors, muslim clerics & community ambassador over holidays. Debate was heated & a call came through for rescue! Power of the media!
